Press Review

"Aizhana Nurkenova has already been garlanded with prizes, and my expectations of her Bach recital at Steinway Hall were not disappointed.  After giving the Bach-Feinberg Largo in A minor an organ-like breadth and stateliness, she showed her mettle with the fourth and fifth English Suites.  Her touch had a firm clarity, and her palette was wide; the Sarabande of the fourth suite sang to heaven, while that of the fifth was delivered with a surprisingly effective detache quality; the closing fugue was exhilarating."
